“I’d suggest you get off before things get stained,” Korosu said with a smirk, Raibu scoffed.

“Make me,” Raibu chuckled, the anger in his white eyes visible. Korosu held the staff with a tight grip, reaching one hand down into the pocket of his cloak and pulling back up a shining silver switchblade.

“Get off.” Korosu held the blade straight up, inching it closer to Raibu’s abdomen.

“You wouldn’t dare,” Raibu’s voice kept stern, glaring into Korosu’s eyes. Korosu smirked.

“Oh yes I would,” he laughed, slowly bringing it closer and closer.

Shinda watched while her eyes got even wider, as if her eyeballs were going to pop out of their sockets. Her gaze was kept on Raibu and the blade, shaking and trying to get to him still.  Korosu brought the blade down to the ground, making Raibu look at his hand. The king then threw his hand up, pushing the blade into Raibu’s abdomen.

“GHN!” Raibu grunted, his eyes going wide while his jaw clenched more. Shinda let out another muffled scream, plunging forward to try and reach him.

Korosu smiled wickedly as Raibu fell off of him and onto his side, he stood up, the staff in his hand.

“You’re really pathetic,” Korosu laughed and kicked Raibu in the side he wasn’t wounded. Raibu grunted and coughed, rolling over and clutching his wound, making sure to keep the switchblade between his fingers to not push it in any further. Shinda cried out  and screamed, her tears flowing down her cheeks as she watched.

“You w-won’t get away…” Raibu’s voice trailed off as he stood up slowly, blood staining his black and red clothing, seeping through it and getting some on his guitar. He gripped the end of the blade, holding it tightly while groaning. He ripped it out, letting out a loud yell as he dropped the knife on the ground.

“Aw, is the little baby in pain?” Korosu laughed.

Raibu held his wound tightly, taking in sharp breaths through his teeth while he glared at Korosu. Yurei looked back at the two, looking away again. Ryuu let out screeches and screams, tears falling down swiftly.

“YOU LIAR!” he screamed, kicking at Hewie’s legs while trying to get away.

I G O T M O R E

“Master Korosu hates you,” Ryuu chuckled, Yurei sighed and swooned.

“I love the way he walks when he’s angry,” Yurei sighed and closed her eyes.

Korosu slammed the old, dark and wooden door to his royal room. His cloak swept the floor as he stepped to an old desk, glaring down at the various torn letters.

“Damn kid…” Korosu trailed off, slapping at the papers on the desk and making them fly like a pack of doves. He sighed, rubbing the bridge of his nose while placing his head against the wall. He clenched his jaw, speeding towards the closet door and kicking it with his heel, the wood cracked and the door opened. Korosu stomped back to the desk like nothing happened, slumping down into the chair and resting his head in his hands.

“How am I going to kill this useless excuse for a human?” he asked himself before hearing a loud bang on the floor.

“Huh?” Korosu looked toward what made the noise, an old and wooden staff hit the ground as it fell out of the closet. His eyes widened with a slight smile threatening to pull at the corners of his lips, the tip of the stick was shaped like a cylinder, glowing a slight hue of a dark purple. A tall and transparent ghost entered, seeping through the rock wall. His dark and messy bangs covered his eyes while his hands were covered by a long sweater. The ghost man looked up.

“Korosu…” he cut himself off when he saw the staff, Korosu pointing at it as if he was a child in a candy store, showing his mother his favorite.

“Hewie, my dear acquaintance,” Korosu began, “What is that?”

“T-that’s the Ghost Staff, your fathers,” Hewie responded in a low voice. Korosu’s grin widened wickedly, his teeth sharp as a knife.

“Perfect,” Korosu cackled quietly.

Chapter 4

The morning was calm, the birds singing again as the breeze shook the leaves of even the biggest trees. The animals called all of their different sounds, some sounding light and high while others sounded as if they had seen something that no person has ever laid their eyes upon. The sun in the middle of the bright sapphire sky while it casted a bright line of white over the entire forest, making it impossible for creatures to hide from deadly predators. The smacking of a stick on the leaves echoed, making the small rabbits and hybrids run back into their hiding places. Intense laughter and giggling coming from a not so deep part of the many trees.

“Take that you stupid tree!” Gou laughed as he whacked the branches and leaves with another broken branch. “How do you like being hit with your own brother!?”

Tod soon found himself following behind like a dog. He ducked through the branches of the low and fresh trees, while Gou ran through them like a child.

“Gou! Dammit!” Tod grunted, getting hit in the face with a branch. “Gou!”

“Woah!” Gou yelled in awe, “Tod! Get your ass over here!”

Tod groaned loudly, tripping on some sticks and stumbling a few times before actually reaching Gou. He sighed and put a hand on Gou’s shoulder as if he was about to scold him.

“Gou, what is it-” Gou cut Tod off, pointing forward to which Tod looked up. His mouth slowly dropped open as he gazed upon the scene before him, an empty field with grass that seemed to be dying each second. The field stretched out far, almost seeming never ending until it hit the tide of the beautiful blue ocean. The sun contrasted the scenery perfectly, lighting the water with stars. Gou looked with wide eyes, his mouth opened slightly while his knees trembled. Tod looked back at Gou with eyes that were wider than his.

“Tod,” Gou whispered as Tod leaned down to hear him better. “This reminds me of something.”

“Something, or someone?” Tod smirked, nudging him with his shoulder. Gou sat down on his knees, Tod watched him before sitting next to him, his smirk gone and replaced with worried eyes. “Gou?”

“We met here,” Gou whispered once more, Tod put his hands in his lap with a shaking smile.

“No we didn’t, we met at schoo-”

“Not us,” Gou cut him off, unable to tear his eyes away from the empty field. Tod raised an eyebrow before his eyes widened and he looked ahead again.

“Oh, you mean?” Tod expected Gou to finish his sentence but Gou just nodded his head and put it down. Tod looked forward, his eyes softening more than they already have.

“I miss her,” Gou whimpered quietly as Tod pulled him onto his shoulder, embracing him tightly. Gou held onto Tod’s shirt as if he never wanted to let go.

“Shh, don’t think about it, it’s okay now,” Tod comforted while rubbing his hand on the side of Gou’s arm. Gou sat up and quickly wrapped his arms around Tod, hugging him tighter and tighter while Tod’s shoulder got wet with his tears. Tod rubbed Gou’s back slowly and hugged him back, closing his eyes and resting his head against Gou’s.

As the two boys embraced one another, Raibu and Shinda were out on their afternoon walk to let off some thoughts and get a chance with nature. Raibu stepped deeper into the forest before coming across Tod and Gou, he smiled warmly when he realized that they hadn't seen them. Shinda followed closely behind.

“What are they doing?” Shinda asked Raibu in a hushed tone, her dead eyes staring at the two boys.

“They’re hugging,” Raibu whispered back, still smiling. Shinda’s eyes widened.

“They’re gay!?” she exclaimed in a whisper, looking at Raibu shocked. She put her hands on her cheeks.

“What? No!” Raibu looked back at Shinda, “This is the place where Gou and Tasu met!”

“Oh,” Shinda sighed, closing her eyes and moving her hand to her forehead.

“Let's leave them be,” Raibu smiled at them and went along with his and Shinda’s walk.

Chapter 5

With the room dark and cold like a forest at night, a dim lighting of purple flashed on the gray walls. The smell of smoke filled the air and made it seem like something was on fire in the room. Sounds of grunts and groans, clattering on the floor and scared yelps echoing. The air was cold, little candles barely doing the job of heating the small place. There was Korosu and Hewie, Korosu trying and failing many times with the Ghost Staff, Hewie afraid of Korosu and cowering backwards whenever Korosu threw the staff on the ground.

“Dammit!” Korosu yelled, stomping his foot, “How the hell was Father so good at this?!”

“He had years of training and preparation, Sire,” Hewie responded, playing with his hands in his sleeves. Korosu repeated a supposed spell, getting it wrong and tossing the staff against the wall, right next to Hewie. He yelped and flinched out of the way.

“Well Father was a stupid little-”

“KOROSU!” Hewie barked, looked at Korosu before he could say anything more. Korosu looked at him with wide eyes, not expecting the sudden snap from Hewie.

“Fine.” He walked back to the staff laying on the ground, picking it up and holding it in his hands tightly.

“It would be better if you’d allow me to help you,” Hewie insisted, gliding a bit closer to Korosu with his hands open.

“You didn’t even apologize to me,” Korosu whined, looking away like a child.

“Do you want to kill this guy or not?” Hewie asked, glaring at Korosu under his messy bangs.

“You don’t seem like you want to kill him,” Korosu scoffed. “I wanna burn him.”

Hewie sighed, “I do want to kill him, if it’s what you want then I want it too.”

“You’re lying. I can see right through you,” Korosu looked him up and down, his eyes settling on his face, “Literally.”

“Yurei’s not going to shut up about how good you’re doing when you’re ding horrible just because she wants to go out with you, and Ryuu is just… ‘Special’.”

alright- i got a whole fukin lot- BUT WHO IS READIN ALL THIS-

“Raibu, did you scare him?” Shinda asked with a giggle. Raibu nodded, glancing over at her while Tod and Gou looked on in confusion, not being able to see Shinda since she was just a simple ghost.

“Shinda’s here?” Tod asked Raibu, raising an eyebrow in amusement with his arms crossed over his chest.

“Of course she is,” Raibu responded. “I’m not going anywhere without her.”

“Yeah, Tod. Shut up,” Gou laughed, Tod gave him a glare before turning away from the group.

“I’m going home, the fight is boring,” Tod grumbled and began walking away with long and slow strides. Gou followed behind him.

“You wanna come too, Raibu?” Gou exclaimed, glancing back at them with a stupid little smile.

“Nah,” Raibu shrugged, looking away from Gou and Tod. “I have better things to take care of.”

The two students grunted and screamed while they kept throwing bloody blows, one student throwing a left hook while the other stumbled back and yelled in anger. Raibu let out a content sigh as he turned away from the students while beginning to slowly step away. Shinda looked away from the fight and turned to Raibu.

“Where are you going?” she asked, slowly hovering toward him.

“To talk to my parents,” Raibu responded in an irritated tone, continuing to walk away.

“But your parents are dea- RAIBU!” Shinda exclaimed, rushing towards Raibu quickly. She looked into his eyes with a look of pure sorrow and sadness. “Are you okay?”

Raibu turned away, shrugging and continuing to walk, “Yeah. Just a little mad.”

“So then where are you actually going?” Shinda asked again.

“I just- just wanna go play,” Raibu grumbled and let his steps hit the ground rougher, making a subtle tapping sound.

Shinda nodded and kept following him happily.

As they both walked and hovered throughout the small town, Raibu took deep and slow breaths to calm himself. By the time that they made it to the neighborhood where the both of them lived, the sun was almost gone into the horizon. It casted a bright, golden and orange glow across the houses and trees. Shinda looked at the sun with amazement, her hands clasped together while she smiled.

“It’s beautiful,” she whispered to herself more than anyone else around.

Raibu stopped his steps for a moment, glancing at Shinda. He took in the look of how her hair seemed to glow and shimmer with the light laying on it, the way that the sun casted highlights in her eyes like nothing else could. He eyed her injury on her right cheek that seemed fresh and new though it had been there for years now. A large, open laceration across her midriff that was deep enough to expose her ribs. The dried blood on her clothing sparkled, Raibu wasn’t afraid of Shinda’s wounds, no, he looked at them with wonder, his eyes wide with a speechless mouth that hung open slightly.

“It really is, isn’t it?” Raibu looked towards the sun, lifting his hand to cast a shadow over his eyes so that he could see more clearly without the sun blinding him. Shinda laughed when she saw that.

“Can’t handle the light?” she asked, teasing him jokingly while looking back at him.

“I may have Angel’s Blood, but they only allow me to see ghosts, not the sun,” Raibu chuckled and looked at Shinda again. Shinda laughed and continued to hover alongside him.

Once they got to their small house in a small and barely populated area of town, Raibu immediately went to his room with Shinda following behind. Raibu grabbed his crimson and black guitar on the stand and threw the strap over his shoulder while Shinda stood near his messy bed.

“Ready?” Raibu asked with a smirk, getting the guitar pick ready to strum the strings.

“Mhm!” Shinda nodded with a smile on her face, closing her eyes as Raibu played his heart out.

A soft yet intense melody that his father would play when he was 6 years old, just before he died. Shinda hummed along with the beat, gently tossing her head from side to side while Raibu played. Raibu clenched his jaw, not wanting to mess it up while he closed his eyes tightly.

Chapter 2

Raibu slept on his bed, his head resting on his soft pillow as he took deep yet slow and soft breaths. His eyes closed gently, making it much easier for people to see the scar across his left eye. He tossed in his bed, turning over and wrapping his arms around his pillow as if it was a real person. His grip was tight, looking like he wasn’t going to let go anytime soon. Shinda poked her head out of the closet, where she always slept. Her eyes closed slightly as they darted around the room. Raibu’s phone beeped, Shinda jumped like something just jumped at her from the dark. Raibu stirred, sitting up before falling abruptly back onto his bed like a child.

“Mmh,” Raibu groaned, shoving his face into his pillow.

“Raibu,” Shinda hovered over closer to him and his phone. “Wake up, you got mentioned in something.”

“In what?” Raibu asked, muffling his voice in the soft, big pillow. His eyes closed tightly.

“In a post on an app you have,” Shinda responded, looking closely at his phone with squinted eyes. Raibu stirred awake, sitting up and grabbing his device off of the wooden nightstand it was charging on. He looked closer at his screen, studying the notification deeply.

“Who the hell…” Raibu trailed off, opening his phone with his fingerprint. His background was his fathers guitar, edited to make it look like it’s glowing and in space.

“What is it?” Shinda asked, leaning closer to him and his phone.

“A post on GhostlyRoyalz,” Raibu answered, clicking the notice on the top of his screen and positioning the phone between him and Shinda. “Look.”

As the newest King of these ghosts and ghouls, I believe I should have justice for the people who have died to the royal, poor, but most importantly, parents. With that, I have found the people who have killed the King and Queen. That will not be tolerated, @ZenbuRai. Yes, I have found you. And there is no hiding from what your father has done. With the debt of his actions handed to you now, you have more things to worry about. I assure you, it will be justified for what you have done. Even if it was your father. There will be something to worry about that is much more important than debt, your pathetic little job, friends, or Angel’s Blood. You can come to me, or I will have to take more drastic measures, it’s up to you. You will pay. More than debt.

Shinda glanced at Raibu, her eyes widened with worry and shock. Raibu looked at the phone blankly, seemingly not fazed at all.

“Alright, so there's a kid on the internet who is acting like the King, oh well,” Raibu shrugged, putting his phone down and laying back down.

“Raibu?” Shinda’s voice was shaking. Raibu rolled over to face her. “T-the debt?”

Raibu stared at her for a moment as if she was crazy.

“What about it?” Raibu grumbled, turning away again. “Wait,” he was silent for a moment before springing up in his bed, eyes wide with shock and fear, “T-the debt!”

Shinda watched him, moving back slightly. Her hands began shaking violently.

“H-how did he know!?” Raibu yelled, his voice echoing through the room while he stood up and ran into the closet.

“You’ve never told anyone, right?!” Shinda exclaimed, looking out the window with worry and more fear than him.

“Never! That was only meant for us to know! Did you tell anyone!?” Raibu quickly put his normal day clothes on, rushing out of the closet and facing Shinda, breathing heavily.

Shinda shook her head violently. “I-I can’t either way!”

Raibu grabbed his phone again, looking closer at the post. He tried to go to the account that posted the bulletin.

“What!? ‘Private account’?!” he screamed, Shinda hovered back and forth, pacing around the room.

“W-what’s going on!?” Shinda yelled, covering her ears. “Are we gonna go to jail? Are we gonna die? Are we in trouble?” Shinda kept repeating words and phrases of fear and worry, not hearing Raibu calling out to her.

“SHINDA!” Raibu yelled loudly, clapping his hands in front of Shinda while looking her dead in the eyes.

Shinda looked at him, trembling like a cold animal in the winter. “A-are you going to get hurt..?” Shinda whispered, barely choking back tears. Raibu looked at her, uncertainty plastered on his face, but he knew he had to reassure Shinda.

“No,” Raibu whispered back, though he didn’t know if it was true. “I’m not going to get hurt, don’t worry. I promise.”

Shinda ran quickly into Raibu’s arms, hugging him tightly while sobbing softly. Raibu was a bit shocked since they haven’t hugged like this in years, but he hugged back.

“She’s so cold,” Raibu thought as he held her close, feeling how she felt like ice against him. “It’s gonna be okay, Shinda. I promise, okay?”

Shinda looked up at him with tears on her cheeks before nodding slightly, wiping away her own tears. “O-okay. I-if you say so…” Shinda mumbled, hugging him again.

Raibu nodded, taking a deep breath and looking back at his phone. He sighed and kept holding her, rubbing the back of her head gently.

Chapter 3

The walls were dark like the night, stone scattered around the deep hallway. Sounds of dripping water and footsteps echoed throughout the hall, intimidating to the presence of someone who wasn’t expecting anything to happen. The place was freezing, the only heat was seeping through the cracked, old windows. The concrete on the floor broken in the corners while the smell of something burning. The aura of someone sweet yet another someone, someone more sinister in its company. With slow, calculated steps, the new King walked in the walls of the castle. A teenage boy with long orange hair that faded to red at the bottom, wearing a large black robe that covered his arms and legs, held together by a rope around his waist. He grumbled and groaned as a ghost with short pink hair, styled to make it look like she had little horns, flew above the ground next to him, poking at his shoulder.

“Korosu!” she giggled, putting her hands on her cheeks with a smile. Her pink skirt swayed while they walked.

“Shut up, Yurei!” a child-looking ghost boy laughed, running around in the hall and running through the walls. “It’s clear that Master Korosu doesn’t like you!”

okay- i wrote some sooo here you go-

Prologue

Some say seeing the dead is a blessing, while others abuse the power. The world used to be a safe place, though after a few World Wars, the spirits roamed without a purpose on the planet. As years went on, the Angels came from heaven and gifted Aijin Satsujin with the blood of the Lord. Aijin went on for years learning from the ghosts, he gained popularity and eventually became royalty from the public. Years and years go by while the royal family grew, a new boy was born into the home. His parents loved and cherished him, giving him whatever he wanted. That was a bigger mistake than they thought it would be.

Chapter 1

The year is 6059, in a country called Dark Trees inside of a small town. At a high school on a bright and warm afternoon, the birds singing their sad songs of grief, the trees casting dark shadows over the fresh grass that seemed like it hadn’t been cut for a while. The laughter and screaming of children echoing throughout the town and the smell of the perfect flowers and a hint of blood, a school fight was just about to be settled. Four teenagers all stood next to each other. A short boy with jet black hair that blew slightly in the breeze, a white t-shirt that looked like it had gone through a lot and a black vest with gray pants. Another boy who was slightly taller, dark blue hair like a rainy sky with a red shirt that was a bit too small and beige shorts. A tall boy, 6 '0 to be exact with shoulder-length black hair that had highlights of white from the back but from the front, the hair under the black was white. He had a red and black striped shirt tucked into black and pink pants. He stood with one hand on his hip, looking disappointed. Hovering off of the ground next to him was a girl with long, dark purple hair wearing a long white  dress. Her legs off of the ground while slowly moving up and down.

All of them were watching the fight. The shortest boy looking at the students throwing punches and kicks with amazement, the boy next to him watching with slight disgust, the tallest glaring with disappointment and boredom, the girl watching with worry etched across her scarred, pale face.

“Shouldn’t we help them?” the girl asked in a shaky voice while rubbing her trembling hands together.

“Don’t worry, Shinda,” the tallest boy whispered to Shinda in an irritated tone.

“You didn’t tell us you brought Shinda, Raibu!” the shortest boy exclaimed.

The boy with blue hair glanced at the shorter boy, “He doesn’t have to if he doesn't want to, Gou.”

“It’s not like you would if you could see ghosts, Tod!” Raibu chuckled, turning to Tod with a smirk. Shinda peeked over Raibu’s shoulder to look at the others out of curiosity.

“No fair!” Gou began complaining, “Why do you get Angels Blood!? I want it!”

“I was born with it. There’s no changing that,” Raibu responded, looking down at him with a piercing white glare.

“Raibu,” Tod whispered and motioned towards Gou. Raibu looked at Tod before looking back at Gou, in which he was trembling with fear yet keeping a nervous smile on his face.

“Ah, damn, sorry Gou,” Raibu said with a hint of regret for glaring at him and some nervousness. Gou chuckled nervously, rubbing the back of his neck while stepping backwards a little.

“I-it’s okay,” Gou insisted, his gaze darting left and right with wide eyes. Shinda looked on, a small smile pulling at the corners of her mouth.
